Cookie Policy

How browser storage and cookie preferences work on this website.

Effective date: October 31, 2026

This Cookie Policy describes the cookies and similar browser technologies used by this CaaMoo Store website. Our current release is designed to use essential session storage only unless a visitor actively enables optional categories in the privacy preference panel.

1. What are cookies and similar technologies?

Cookies are small data files saved by a browser. Similar technologies include local storage, session storage, scripts, pixels and tags that store or access information on a device. These tools may support security and core site features, remember a privacy choice, measure website performance or support advertising.

2. Technologies currently used

  • Essential session cookie: the PHP session cookie named caamoo_session supports session continuity, administration login, CSRF protection and secure form handling. It is configured as HttpOnly and SameSite=Lax, and it is marked Secure when the site is accessed through HTTPS.
  • Privacy preference storage: the browser local-storage key caamoo_cookie_consent_v3 stores the visitor's optional category choices, consent notice version and last-updated time. It is not a traditional cookie.

This release does not load third-party analytics tags, advertising pixels or behavioural profiling scripts by default. The analytics and marketing options shown in the panel are reserved for future integrations. They do not activate a service in this release.

3. Your options

When the consent panel appears, you may choose Accept all, Reject optional or Customize. These choices are presented as distinct, straightforward actions. Strictly necessary session technology remains active because it supports basic security and website functions. Analytics and marketing choices are off by default.

You can open the panel again at any time using the Cookie settings control in the footer. You can withdraw an optional choice by turning that category off and saving your preference. Your updated choice is made available to future integrations through the caamoo:consent browser event; any added tag or script must check the relevant consent category before it loads or stores optional information.

4. Third-party tools

If the website operator adds an analytics service, advertising network, embedded video, map, chat widget or other third-party tool, this Policy and the preference panel must be updated to identify the provider, technology, purpose, retention period and any relevant cross-border processing. Optional tracking tools must remain blocked until the required choice has been recorded. The operator should keep an inventory of all cookies and similar technologies actually deployed and review it whenever website functionality changes.

5. Browser controls

You can also use your browser settings to view, block or delete cookies and site storage. Blocking essential session cookies may prevent forms, login or other core website functions from working properly. Browser-level blocking does not replace the website preference control for any optional technologies that may be introduced later.

6. Canadian privacy considerations

Privacy requirements depend on the province or territory, the nature of the business and how information is processed. Federal private-sector privacy law, substantially similar provincial private-sector laws and Québec's private-sector privacy requirements may apply in different circumstances. This Policy is a website template and should be reviewed against the operator's actual activities and applicable law before publication.

7. Contact and updates

We may update this Policy when browser technologies, providers or legal requirements change. The effective date will be revised when a material change is made. For questions about cookie choices or privacy, use the Contact Us page or reopen Cookie settings from the footer.
